Barbados Wrestling Association headed by Rollins Alleyne has implemented with the assistance of Tim Mc Guire of the University of Chicago and David Lopez of United World Wrestling a development programme which has seen several international coaches and athletes visit their shores within the past year to host training camps for administrators, athletes and coaches.

Most Recently Mr. Mc Guire assistant coach at the University of Chicago hosted a one-week training camp and development tour of the island leading up to the Bridgetown Burning Martial Arts Gala which featured an Olympic Style Wrestling Tournament as well as other martial arts and competitors from neighbouring Caribbean Islands. The event was hosted and sponsored by Barbados Wrestling Association, Barabados Taichi Wushu Federation and barbados Tourism Marketing Inc.
