La Croix was taken down early in the first round but stayed composed while smoothering his oppoent’s offensive attempts with both fighters were working to out wrestle each other for top position. The bout was stopped midway thru the second round after La Croix got the better of the striking early in the round forcing his opponent to go for another takedown and successfully gaining top position. La Croix was once again able to smother his opponent’s offence before attempting an armbar submission and transitioning to a sweep to gain top position. The referee stepped in to stop the fight as La Croix’s opponent was unable to defend himself from the many punches and knees that were being delivered.  This was La Croix’s third victory for year after defeating opponents from Trinidad and Bahamas.
